After closing down Facebook lite version, today, they have launched a new version of Facebook which is called as “Facebook Zero”. This version claims to be the faster amongst all the other Facebook versions and application available including Facebook mobile. It is a new mobile site version which very light weight with only text and light weight images. It allows users to surf without paying any Data charges from their service providers.
Facebook is having over 100 million active users and now by allowing them to surf for free, they are surely going to increase that number. They have collaborated with 50 mobile service operators across the world right now and they will be providing free access to users via 0.facebook.com.
The main reason behind launching is that It’s fast as it is made up of text so it is going to be the lightest Facebook version. People can have the same usage as they have in m.facebook.com or facebook.com version like status updates, comments and wall feature.
Below is the list of The mobile operators with which they have collaborated. In India, This version will be available free of cost only to Reliance and Videocon users.
